Although built in the 1800s, the Manor House has been totally refurbished to reflect a fine blend of traditional Huguenot heritage and true cape culture, offering our guests serenity and calm that only country hospitality can.

Basse Provence has a total of 8 spacious, tastefully decorated en-suite rooms all fully equipped with mini-bars, tea/coffee making facilities, DSTV and air-conditioning. Our Manor suite and Elizabeth suite have the privacy of their own entrance.
The country house consists of 4 bedrooms on 2 floors. The upstairs rooms are under the thatch and poplar beams traditional of Cape Dutch style.
The recently refurbished Manor House boasts 3 beautiful rooms built in 1855.
Every room has en-suite bathroom and separate showers. The views from all the rooms are simply stunning and look out onto the vineyards and the Franschhoek valley.
Basse Provence is proud to add a new, superbly refurbished two bedroom cottage with spacious en-suite facilities and adjoining lounge. The cottage offers a large terrace and private garden and full use of the guesthouse pool and services..
Guests can enjoy a full breakfast or drinks from our honesty bar out on our extensive lawns. Basse Provence offers a beautiful pool area under the mountains and adjacent to vineyards.
A swimming pool is available for those hot summer afternoons. Should you wish to spend a relaxing day on the farm, we have croquet on the front lawn, boules under the oak trees and a walk down to the river to a picnic site on the riverbank.
