Built in 1890, Chelsea Villa Guest House is one of the original Victorian Homes in the area. Great care has been taken to preserve most of the original fixtures during times of renovation and decorating, to ensure that the house maintains the aura of those gracious times.
Situated right below Durban’s Berea, in the suburb of Glenwood. Chelsea Villa is close to the city center and beaches, as well as having easy access to the N2/N3 and M4 major freeways. We are on a regular bus route, which makes getting around a pleasure.
Davenport Center is a two minute walk from us, where you will find among other things, a supermarket, banks, chemist, restaurants and coffee shops.
Durban’s Botanical Gardens is also a great trip to indulge yourself on the indigenous plant life and birds.
Your host, Alison Munro, places emphasis on friendly hospitality and personal service. As we have a licence to operate transfers, if you require transport to and from the airport or bus terminus, this can be arranged
Chelsea Villa has all serviced en-suite twin rooms. All twin beds can be converted to king beds. Each room is tastefully decorated with care and pride.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room, for you to make use of at your leisure.
Breakfast is served daily on the covered patio, which overlooks the sparkling pool.
