Architecturally, Acorn House is typical of the much admired Colonial Style period. With typical Herbert Baker hallmarks of white-painted plaster finish, timber colonnaded verandah, Marseilles tiled roof and decorative plaster gables, Acorn House has a Grade One conservation rating from the National Monuments Council.
The location in Oranjezicht, on the foot of Table Mountain, is exceptionally convenient. Verandahs and garden provide views of Table Mountain and the city, while the upstairs bedrooms look out at the dramatic sweep of Table Bay.
There is a sparkling pool and beautiful herb garden in which to relax and enjoy our stunning views.
Our eight double bedrooms en suite are decorated in Colonial style and all have heated towel rails, telephone, television and M-Net.
