Available for your exclusive use, Barry House on Riverton farm is one house ideal for a large group of friends or family. It has six bedrooms and 5 bathrooms that can accommodate up to 10 adults and four children. Wifi, complimentary tea & coffee, toiletries and wood for the fireplaces in the dining room, family room and the outdoor barbecue is provided.

As South Africans we are coming to terms with an unprecedented global health scare in COVID-19 (Corona virus). Whilst our healthy climate and relatively low rural population density usually confers some protection it is doubtful that any region will escape unscathed.
To protect your health and the health of your family and friends and our housekeeping staff we would like to share some of the new protocols that we have instituted until the situation has stabilised:
We have invested in a disinfectant FOGGER to sanitise the guest house before your arrival.
- Self-catering but Housekeeping is once again being offered as an option as our staff now have PPE with virucidal and antibacterial silver Nano technologically impregnated fabric.
- No handshaking to greet guests on arrival. A warm eye wrinkle from behind a mask will have to suffice from 1.5 meters away.
- Currently the housekeeper will greet you wearing protective clothing and take your temperature. Guests with a temperature higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius will not be allowed entry. Kindly check your temper before leaving home.
- Your key will be soaked in disinfectant and not just wiped clean with disinfectant.
- Disinfected your hands with the foot pump sanitiser provided before entering.
In this emotional time, you can be assured that we are guided by WHO guidelines and consistently act on fact-based, circumstance-driven decision making. As scientists learn more about covid19 our precautionary measures may be adapted.
Barry House on Riverton is situated on Riverton Stud farm and is the lovingly restored original manor house. Relax on the long veranda and drink in the magnificent views of the horse paddocks and vineyards with the majestic Langeberg mountains in the background.
Barry House on Riverton is located a short stroll away from the Breede River for bass and carp fishing (bring own rods) and is in close proximity to the top wine estates in the area. The 18-hole Robertson Golf Course is less than ten minutes’ drive away, as is Robertson with its many fine restaurants and take away outlets.

PEACE OF MIND POLICY
We fully understand the hesitation many people may feel at the moment when deciding whether to book a getaway or much needed weekend escape or family celebration.
As such we have amended our cancellation policy till end February 2022 to offer you the option of changing your getaway to no additional cost should this become necessary. A voucher valid till Feb 2024 can be issued should you not have specific dates in mind.
